A one-of-a-kind hand drawn map of Disneyland, done by Walt Disney himself, sold for $708,000 at an auction at Van Eaton Galleries in Los Angeles over the weekend, making it the most expensive Disneyland map ever sold.

The map, which was drawn by Disney with the help of artist Herb Ryman, was created over the course of one weekend in 1953 as part of a presentation for investors to secure financing for Disneyland. The famous theme park first opened its doors in July of 1955. Read more...
