'Super Mario Odyssey' is real and it has a release date

Super Mario Odyssey is coming to the Nintendo Switch Oct. 27, Nintendo revealed during its E3 live stream Tuesday.

In a gameplay trailer for the new sandbox-style Mario game, Nintendo revealed the new feature coming to Odyssey: Mario's newly sentient hat. Mario can throw his hat at enemies and objects in Odyssey to possess them, getting access to their unique abilities.

Mario can become a bullet bill with a mustache, a goomba with a mustache, and even a dinosaur with a mustache. Plus we see a whole bunch of fun new environments to run and jump around in, including a dinosaur-themed level and a spooky, black and white level. Read more...
