Planning a wedding is complicated enough, but now imagine trying to do it in VR.
That’s just what one couple from Wales decided to do recently. As TIME reported, Elisa Evans and Martin Shervington tied the virtual knot on May 25th. The wedding took place in AltspaceVR, a virtual reality social platform, which partnered with the couple to facilitate their big day.
Inside the VR world, the couple’s blue and pink avatars were joined by those of 40 of their closest friends. Those pals were actually gathered in the groom’s home, but the real action was inside Altspace, where the charming, if slightly stilted, ceremony unfolded. Read more...
