Twitter reveals what U.S. history would look like if Trump were in charge

Donald Trump spent much of his Monday trying to defend some oddball Civil War "facts" about Andrew Jackson, who died over a decade before the Civil War began. Naturally, the internet had some fun with that.

Trump tweeted some Jackson-related nonsense again on Monday night, doubling down on his earlier sentiment. (It started when Trump was interviewed on a radio show and seemed to misplace Andrew Jackson in time. He then wondered why no one asks why the Civil War was fought despite over 150 years of history, scholarly articles, books, movies, television shows, hundreds of historic sites around the country and tens of thousands of re-enactors that ask precisely that question.)  Read more...
