This teen's $15 homemade prom dress is better than many Met Gala looks

TwitterFacebook

For many people, finding oneself with nothing to wear the night before a big event is — to put it mildly — upsetting. For teen designer Shami Oshun, it was just an excuse to make something cool.

The San Francisco designer spent a grand total of $15 to create her homemade prom dress, which she documented on Twitter last weekend. The result is strikingly beautiful, well-made, unique, and on-theme for the event: which is more than can be said about many Met Gala looks.

Just saying.
