Stephen Colbert mocks House Republicans' wildest Trump impeachment take yet

The House of Representatives hadn't yet voted by the time The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had to film its last episode before the holidays, but the host felt very safe making a confident, ultimately correct prediction that Trump would be impeached.

"Today the House gave themselves six hours of floor debate to decide on impeachment, said Colbert. "Six hours, really? That's a long time to let both sides repeat the same stuff they've been saying for months."

Even so, the lengthy debate still unearthed some new bizarre moments to add to the pile. Colbert called out Rep. Barry Loudermilk's late contender for wildest impeachment take in the House: the congressman claiming Jesus was treated more fairly by Pontius Pilate than Trump has been by Democrats. Read more...
