We now know the Queen's favorite song, and everyone has a terrible guess about it

When you think Queen Elizabeth II, you likely do not think 1970s disco. And yet, England's longest-reigning monarch ostensibly gets down just like the rest of us.

Last week, word got around that the Queen's favorite song might be "Dancing Queen" by ABBA— she is the Queen, after all. Per NME, BBC radio DJ Chris Evans first shared this factoid back in 2008 based on a story he'd heard from a friend who'd attended a dinner with the queen.

But to set the record straight: No one has officially confirmed that this song is the Queen's favorite. In fact, when a 2016 BBC documentary revealed a list of the Queen's favorite songs, there was nary an ABBA track in sight. Read more...
