'Hamburger straws' are Japan's newest way to make the rest of us wonder what's going on over there

Sometimes Instagram trends explore the beautiful form that food can take, and sometimes they're really freaking weird.

Confusing at it may seem, a new trend has emerged in Japan that involves sticking McDonald's hamburgers on drinking straws.

According to Kotaku, the trend hasn't reached worldwide as of yet, but is becoming so popular in Japan that it was covered on 2ch, Japan’s biggest online bulletin board.
