Comic's powerful story about Islamophobia will inspire you to stay active online

An Australian reality TV show might not be the first place you'd expect to hear a message of inclusivity and acceptance, but thanks to comedian Nazeem Hussain, here we are. 

The future Bill Nye Saves the World correspondent took the time to explain his family's reaction to the Lindt Cafe siege, a 2014 hostage crisis in which a gunman hastily pledged allegiance to ISIS and murdered two civilians.

Following the crisis, Hussain and his family were understandably concerned about an outpouring of Islamophobia, with his sister revealing she was scared to travel home.
