Just when you thought Tom Hanks had mastered almost everything, he publishes a short story collection and truly becomes a Hanks of all trades.
The previously announced collection, to be published by Knopf Doubleday, now has a title, Uncommon Type. Each of the 17 stories will have some connection to typewriters, which Hanks is obsessed with.
And, of course, America's Dad wrote his notes for this on a typewriter, he told Entertainment Weekly. "I wrote notes and a few pages on an actual typewriter... Typewriters are for personal letters, for musings, for rambling stream-of-consciousness stamped-in-paper doodling." Read more...
